"If it feels good, do it!"
Who am I?
I am a Canadian - born and live in Nova Scotia. I am a lawyer - graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 2001. I have two brothers, one sister and two step-brothers...
But those things don't define me. Where we come from and what we do for a living are not what we are. We are defined by the things that excite and make me feel good.
My niece's laugh. My girlfriend's voice. The scent of blossoms in the spring, or the stink of hockey gear in the winter. A homemade sandwich made with fresh white bread and tomatoes freshly picked from the garden. The feelings evoked by these things are what really define me.
Reading, writing, sports, beaches, fitness... What feels good to me might not feel good to you. To each his own. If it feels good, do it!
For me, feeling good means ignoring the voices in my head constantly telling me to "grow up". WHY?!?
Being a grown up seems like such a boring thing to me. Sure, we all have to do grown up things from time to time, but why would anyone ever choose to act their age? I don't get it. It might work for you, but it doesn't for me.
Lying by a pool. A great Jimmy Buffett song. A fine bottle of rum. Hell, why not lie by a pool, listen to Jimmy Buffett and enjoy a glass of rum?
I also love to write. That's what Maxwell's House is all about. It's my creative outlet. It gives me something to write about and let's me interact with the rest of the world about - well - anything I want.
Welcome to my house...
